Welcome Amelia!

Sweet little Amelia Rose.
9lbs 2oz born on December 9.
We are so happy we got to meet you at your arrival into this world!
Your Mom is a real trooper... and I thought I had a long, hard, pretty natural labour!

 The little family of three.

Cousins! Welcome to the crazy Amelia!

Cousins born in 2013... Alexander, Jax, Mya and Amelia

 New Mom... or seasoned pro?!
That Uncle Jeryn, new Dad and still super fun Uncle!
Glad we could come and make the first few days of parenthood so crazy and loud that life probably seems so peacefully quiet and easy now that we are gone!
You're welcome!  ;)

That lady is crazy.

Well I am heading to BC again with my 4 kids!  Yikes!
It looks like its just me and my hatchlings heading out from this part of the country, so I decided to pick a nice looking day for driving and hit the pavement, even though Wolfe baby still hasn't exited the oven yet!  And I don't blame baby... it is darn cold out here!
Send happy, safe and quiet drive thoughts my way... here goes nothing!
I was going to just post a cute picture I took of the 4 of them in their toques but found I hadn't uploaded it off my camera yet and said camera is already loaded!
So here are some random pictures instead.
They make a heart... and my heart melt!

The art of holding two babies at one time.  This way you have
one hand free to do important things, such as; itching your nose.

What a sweet brother you have Shayla.
So do twins run in your family?  Says the ultrasound tech.
Yes they do.  And why do you ask... oh this is why!  ;)

Tristan was all about pushing Great Gramma Gooch.
Unfortunately he wasn't the safest driver.
Fortunately GGG is a sweetie... or just too quiet to be heard!

Just thought this was a sweet picture.

Great Gramma Pinyon... thinking of you lots lately.
Very glad we get to see you again so soon.
I'll post again once I am back out to this place of -37 with the wind chill.  While in BC I plan to be to busy out enjoying winter, that and holding a lot of babies!

Twin line up!

This picture was taken in the week between Mya and Jax`s 2 month immunizations and Olivia and Emily`s 4 month immunizations.
This is what they weighed:
Mya: 11lbs 5oz
Jax: 12lbs 13oz
Olivia: 11lbs 6oz
Emily: 12lbs 3oz
So one of my 2 month olds was bigger than both the 4 month olds and the other was pretty much the same size as one of the 4 month olds!
Must be all my creamy milk, says the health nurse... so if I were a cow I guess I`d be a jersey! :)
I suppose it is an appropriate analogy as I do feel like a bit of a milk cow these days!

And more puke!
Actually it wasn't that bad.  Tristan threw up in the night a few nights ago and then once the following day. He even got it in the bucket a couple of times!  Which made me more excited then I probably should have been... I first thought. Until the following day when he ran away from me and the bucket spewing his liquid stomach contents everywhere!  And I realized I had every right to feel that excited about puking into a bucket!!!
So we spent Friday in our PJ's watching TV.  Tristan got lots of snuggles, some flat ginger-ale and a very generous amount of time in front of the boob tube. As my Mom would call it!
Pop and TV, it doesn't get much better than that... in Shayla's opinion.

So it was pretty funny last night when Shayla woke up at 2am complaining of a sore tummy and then proceeded to puke all over her bed.  OK that part wasn't funny.  The funny part was once we had her all cleaned up and I looked at her and said, 'Well we better go cuddle on the couch and watch some TV.' Her face brightens right up and she shouts, 'Yes!'  Like puking was the best thing that had ever happened to her. And then she continues, 'And tomorrow I can't eat yogurt because it's bad for your guts when you're sick.  I will just have to drink pop and watch TV, right Mom?'
That's right Shayla, getting sick is almost as good as winning the lottery in this house!

It was so nice to meet you, little Mr. Alexander!
We had a nice time getting to know you a little bit and hanging out with your parents.
They are pretty nice too! :)

*Mya and Jax telling their second cousin all their baby trade secrets.
*It's decided for sure... Tristan just can't get enough of babies.
*3 Moms and 3 babies.  Can't wait until there are 4 babies.
*Aunty Dolores holding 3 babies, while their parents relax in the hot tub.
Well, Alexander arrived three and a half weeks early, but it looks like Vanessa`s baby is going to arrive in true Gooch style... fashionably late!
Come on out baby, we are so excited to meet you!

The Greats

Great Uncle Ron and Great Aunty Dolores
Too bad Unc and Jax couldn't stop goofing around long enough to smile for at least one picture!
I guess those twin boys just don't like to cooperate!
Thanks Aunty for coming out and helping me while Clayton was gone hunting.  And Uncle Ron for coming to pick her up so she was able to drive with me and the 4 little ones!

I was very optimistic and thought I would be able to make that lovely 9 hour (12 with kids) drive myself.  It became apparent on the drive out to my parents, with Clayton, that maybe it wouldn't be the best idea.  The drive itself wasn't even the biggest worry but the breaks when I would have my hands full with two babies and my 2 year old would be able to run wild and do thing like press the restaurants handicap button and escape into the parking lot and not listen when his Mom, holding two babies, shout at him to get back inside but be unable to do much about it!
So Aunty drove back with me, as Clayton had hitched a ride back with my brother earlier.  The drive with Aunty ended up being the best drive I ever made with the kids.  The twins didn't make a single peep except on the two stops and Shayla and Tristan were so quiet!  Which is remarkable as Tristan is just generally loud happy loud or sad loud!

So Aunty Dolores you're my new driving buddy... just so you know!

Thanks for all you help!

Happy 40th Anniversary Mom and Dad

A couple days late... but Happy 40th Mom and Dad!
Love you both so much.

We love you, Grandpa!
I will always remember and cherish the summer that I went with you to Great Uncle Gordy's and got to experience farming with horses and good old redneck life!  (Maybe that's why I was drawn to and ended up living in Alberta!)
Thanks for all the horse drawn wagon rides, hot chocolate visits with you and Grandma around the big dinning room table, sharing all the interesting stories of your childhood, your horse help and knowledge when I was in 4-H, the cuddles and love you showered on my children and the wonderful family get togethers for birthdays, anniversaries and holiday celebrations.  Such a close, amazing (and a little crazy :) family you leave behind!
We will miss you, Grandpa.
But are so glad to have shared so many wonderful moments with you that will remain in our memories forever.
I imagine you are riding your horse through a lush green field where the sun will always shine.
See you there one day.
Love always.

Boo hoo

And they are off!  5 weeks went by way too fast.
Thank you so much Mom for all your help.  And you too Dad.
Love you both.

After they left Clayton asked Shayla what she wanted to do today and she thought for a moment and then said excitedly, 'Go to Farm Grammas!'
I hear ya kid.
Tristan ran to the craft cupboard and got out the play dough, his and Gramma's early morning activity.
So we all played play dough.
Farm Gramma and Grampa even made an appearance!

Playing with play dough farm grandparents.
And of course some kisses too.

Here's to good mornings!
1. Because they get to spend them like this.
2. Because I get to spend them in bed, sleeping.
Thanks Farm Gramma.
You are never leaving... right?!

Pregnancy brain...

... oh right, I'm not pregnant anymore!  Dang, I loved that excuse!
Newborn brain... can we blame it on that?

Last night, after Clayton told me it was suppose to get down to -2 that night, I ran out and picked a pail of strawberries.  This morning when I got up the ground was covered with a blanket of frost.

Yay, so glad I picked those strawberries!  I thought to myself.  Now I could still enjoy fresh, garden strawberries for a few more days!

Then I went to eat one.  As I was looking around for where I put them, I noticed the pail, still sitting out on the front deck, covered in a thin layer of frost!

Nice work, Kimberly!

Double double trouble!

Now that's a lot of babies!
Our good friends, Scott and Christine, had twin girls two months before us.
There must have been something in the water!
Take away one baby and add two big brothers.
So sweet!

Those bossy older sisters!

I hear ya Tristan... those bossy older sisters... they are so bossy!  And mainly their bossiness is a pain in your backside.  But believe me Tristan once in a while their bossiness will come in very handy.

Like a few days ago when my B. O. S. said to me:

Kimberly, I just don't understand why you have never got professional pictures taken?  You love pictures.  You have family pictures up all over your house and you are the only person I know who is right up to date on scrap booking your family/life photos.

I know... I guess I'm just...

A tight ass!  Yeah I guess I already knew the answer to that.  So anyhow that is your baby gift from me... a newborn/family photo shoot.

And then she arrange the whole thing, told me when to show up, what to wear, what my kids should wear and then went ahead and made these outfits for Mya and Jax:
So adorable!  Bossy older sisters... rock!
I, of course, was a little over whelmed and had anxiety about the whole thing.  And then my B. O. S. worked her magic and kept my 4 year old and 2 year old in check!  They listened so well!  Bossiness comes in handy again... that and bribery with candy!
I just got a sneak peek of a few of the pictures on facebook and they look so amazing!  I can't wait to see them all!
Thanks so much Corrine for making me do that!
B. O. S. rock!

Welcome babies!

Welcome Jax and Mya!
Born September 12... I had reached 39 weeks!
Mya Carley at 3:21pm 6lbs 14oz and 18.9 inches long
Jax Finley at 3:28pm 7lbs 2oz and 19 inches long
So there really was 14 pounds of baby in there!
But it was my shortest and easiest labour and delivery yet!  I almost enjoyed it!
We are so excited you two are here.
Shayla and Tristan are really enjoying holding the babies...
and having twins, they don't have to share!
Jax and Mya... love to cuddle.

Thursday, September 5, 2013

Your babies will probably come between 36 and 38 weeks... because twins come earlier... HA! I knew better... Gooch babies don't come out early, they need the extra time inside to get gigantic!

I had my 38 week ultrasound today.
Baby A weighs 6lbs 4oz
Baby B weighs 6lbs 14oz
Plus or minus a pound she says...
if she wanted to make me feel better she should have left out the plus!
There was just too much baby in there for the tech to even be able to comment on the status of my cervix. Just because everyone was wondering and all!

Now these pictures were taken a few weeks ago, so I am probably noticeably bigger... but still... how do 14lbs of baby fit in there?
If my organs could talk they would tell you... not comfortably!

Kimberly: Due September Now!

My cousin Allise: Due October

My sister Vanessa: Due December
Bring on all the baby fun!
